Ghana’s sensational dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, and some selected hiplife artistes last Saturday, August 13, entertained thousands of music fans at a musical concert dubbed ‘Shatta Wale For Peace Concert’ at the Calvary Grounds near the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The event, which attracted over thousands of music fans as well as people from all walks of life, treated fans to non-stop live performances from Shatta Wale, Lil Win and others. Explaining the reasons for his claim that he is more popular than Shatta Wale, on Anigyie Mmre on Onua FM hosted by Christian Agyei Frimpong, Lil Win revealed that Shatta Wale’s manager prevented him from performing at the event even though he was part of the tall list of performers. According to the popular actor, he together with his team was there and ready to perform even before 1:00am. “

perform without my songs because the DJ refused to play them. Then they put off my microphone so I had to start dashing out my clothes to the fans that were dying to see me on stage,” Lil Win claimed. “You can go on YouTube and check on how many people responded to him when he came on stage as compared to mine,” he told host Christian Agyei Frimpong.
“The crowd even got a lot crazier when I got into my car to leave which surprised me because they followed me all the way out of the concert grounds and I was wondering why they had all ignored the self acclaimed dancehall artiste”. Lil Win mentioned that his presence gave the policemen on duty on the night of the concert a lot of work to do because they found it extremely difficult to control the crowd.
